Edinburgh's Budget
The City of Edinburgh Council need to save at least £30 million next year. As budget decisions get harder, it is important to know what residents think about the tough choices that need to be made.
Edinburgh is a popular, growing city. Our population is increasing and ageing, and more and more people need help and support. Costs are continuing to rise and the funding isn't keeping up. As a result The City of Edinburgh Council now expect to have to save at least £30m next year and £109m by 2028/29.
The consultation shows you a short summary of the proposals for how the Council can balance the budget. Your views will help to shape the final budget proposals that are presented to elected members, and will help them to make a final decision about Edinburgh's budget in February 2025.
