Overview of recommendation process

Pentlands Community Grants are awarded based on recommendations to the South West Locality Manager by the Pentlands Funding Panel. The Panel consists of a representative from each of the community councils in the Pentlands area plus the City of Edinburgh councillors from the area’s two constituent wards. The total annual budget for grants is £44 179, and the Panel considers all applications that meet the funding criteria until the fund for that year has been fully allocated. When the Panel considers applications it will recommend to fully fund the project, offer partial funding, or decline to recommend an award.
