People, Places and Possibilities conference

Charities partner together to host joint conference as Covid-19 challenges continue.

Edinburgh Voluntary Organisations’ Council (EVOC) and Glasgow Council for the Voluntary Sector (GCVS) are hosting a week-long conference – People, Places & Possibilities – running from Monday 23 to Friday 27 November. It’s the first time the two organisations have joined forces and they hope that people and organisations from across the voluntary, public and private sectors will get involved.

A series of online events will look back at the last six months of Covid-19, but more importantly look forward and consider how communities and the voluntary sector can support our recovery.

One ticket buys you access to 14 events over the course of the week - including sessions with Neil Ritch (Director of Scotland for the National Lottery Community Fund), Cllr Susan Aitken and Cllr Adam McVey (Leaders of Glasgow City and City of Edinburgh Council), Dr John Harden (Deputy National Clinical Director), Diarmad Lawlor (Associate Director - Place, Scottish Futures Trust) and a range of other exciting speakers.

There is a limited amount of free tickets available to support those organisations experiencing financial difficulty. To check whether you qualify for a free ticket please send an email Glasgow Council for the Voluntary Sector
